Forget-ness

I struggle with FORGET-NESS

The saying “Forgive and Forget” is so often heard together, but My skeleton in my closet is Forgetting. If you hurt me, I pray about forgiving, I forgive, but forgetting is much harder for me.
Forgetting about how someone has hurt me (or someone I love),
Forgetting about what you said that one time.
Forgetting that you forgot to do that one thing,
Forgetting how you broke a promise to me (or someone I love)

Which really means I am really grand at Remembering.

What I remember most from this past weekend is what my dear Friend Darren said to the church about keeping secrets.  He spoke so eloquently about sharing the Good News with others, about telling the story of what Jesus has done for me. About remembering it’s NOT a Secret to keep. Simply share the Love of Christ with others.

As I sat in that sermon wanting God to talk to me, I remembered He hasn’t forgotten me. He has forgiven and forgotten my sins forever, but He doesn’t struggle with Forget-ness.

Jesus hasn’t forgotten you, nor will He.

Joy

Even in the hardest of days, the struggles of every single day. He knows you and His love is unconditional- that I remember. I would love to share with you what I don’t forget.
